I’m beyond excited! I got to spend the morning with Carey Palmer, one of the owners of Sarasota’s 100 percent plant-based restaurants Palmer’s Nutritious You. We had a blast connecting with each other while putting together our recipes for vegan appetizers and vegan mocktails. I have always been curious about how to make mocktails (like they do them at Palmers Nutritious You) and was thrilled when Carey suggested that’s what we could do together. We made delicious Mojito mocktails and vegan guacamole and Carey also taught me some new dance moves. Ha, ha! I love it! Sober and vegan living is the best. You still get to enjoy all the flavors of the drink and the food, but without any of the negative affects of the alcohol or animal products.
Vegan Mocktails Recipes
Today we made delicious alcohol-free Mojito Mocktails with fresh ingredients like mint, lime, agave and sparkling water. I personally don’t have a lot of vegan mocktails recipes, so I was so excited when Carey suggested it. All the flavors of a regular Mojito but without any of the negative side affects of adding the rum. Being sober for over 7 years now, I love waking up every morning without any of the anxiety, or worries about the previous night. No headache or hangover to overcome and no regrets. It’s absolute freedom.
Vegan Appetizers and Snacks
There are so many delicious recipes for vegan appetizers and snacks and you still get all the flavors and textures without any of the animal products. Today we made vegan guacamole and it’s so easy and tasty. It comes together in just minutes with mashed avocado, lime juice, cumin, garlic powder and pink salt. If you want to change it up you can always add tomatoes, salsa, fresh garlic and cilantro. Taste your way to what makes YOU happy! That’s one of the things I absolutely love about vegan cooking, you don’t ever have to worry about tasting the food as you go.

Mojito Mocktails and Vegan Guacamole Recipes
Equipment
- 1 Manual Juicer Citrus Lemon Squeezer
- 1 Mortar and Pestle Set
Ingredients
Vegan Guacamole
- 1 Avocado
- 1/2 Lemon
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Pink Salt
Mojito Mocktails
- 2 Lemon
- 1 Handful Fresh Mint
- 1 tbsp Raw Sugar
- 1 tbsp Agave
- Ice
Instructions
Vegan Guacamole
- Mash the avocado in a bowl.
- Cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice into the bowl. Stir together the avocado and lemon juice.
- Add the spices. Taste it and adjust to your liking.
Mojito Mocktails
- Put half of the fresh mint in the mortar and add the raw sugar. Use the pestle to combine.
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Add agave and ice. Taste and adjust sweetness to your liking. Enjoy!
