My vegan kids, so proud of them!

Easy Tips for a Vegan Family- Include your vegan kids!

I’m so incredibly proud and amazed by how wholeheartedly my kids have embraced veganism. They are really true vegan kids, and are my inspiration and the reason I do what I do.

But when I first introduced this major change at home, they weren’t exactly jumping up and down with joy. Ha, ha! But my enthusiasm and happiness soon rubbed off on them, and they slowly started enjoying the food – especially all the new treats.

So, how do you inspire the kids?

We wanted to explain our reasoning to them in a way they could relate to. If they could understand why this change was so important to us, the animals, and the planet, we knew it would be easier for them to embrace it.

Videos for vegan kids is a great tool

Bite Size Vegan has some amazing videos for vegan kids that resonated with ours:

Books that will inspire the kids

Ruby Roth – That’s Why We Don’t Eat Animals – has written and illustrated some beautiful books for kids about why being vegan is so amazing. So far we’ve read and love:

V is for Vegan (my daughter actually read this at school in front of her brother’s kindergarten class and the principal. Ha ha! So proud of them both!)

Be a thriving vegan family

Just talking to the kids and answering all their questions is really what it boils down to. Turns out kids are way more compassionate then we adults tend to be, and they were on board before we knew it. Gotta love that!

Here are more easy tips for going vegan.

And if you like to take the whole family out to eat, you will find a good vegan restaurant in Sarasota on the list here.

Please reach out with any questions you might have, happy to help! Send me a message or comment below. Would love to hear from you!
